Welcome on my website!
Born in Minneapolis in 1943, I live and work in France - in Tourette-Levens, behind Nice -, since 1969. I hope you will enjoy discovering my work. I started out as an etcher over more than . . . 50 years ago. In the early sixties, my art professor, John Maakestad at St. Olaf College was the first to encourage me to express myself through my art. Eventually my life became linked to prints. In the late sixties, I joined the very well known Atelier 17 run by Stanley William Hayter, where I worked for many years. There I became acquainted with the finer details of etching and the simultaneous colors technique. It was at this time that I met the artist Isolde Baumgart, who shared my life and work for many years. Over different periods I also taught in several universities or American art institutions.
You are about to discover different sections: one called  "Prints" will allow you to purchase some of my prints, the other to discover my artistic career  "Biography & exhibitions" and a third section "A Glance at" will give me the opportunity to comment on one of my prints or others artist’s prints, later more sections will follow.
I am also proud to show the extensive series of all my prints in the online "Catalogue raisonné 1965-2016" which encompasses today 178 prints.

Have a great tour!

Catalogue raisonné

Here are the prints I have made over the past fifty years. Etchings, lithographs, linocuts and mainly woodcuts are represented in this catalogue raisonné of my work. I hope you will have as such fun discovering the various turns in my creativity, as I had when I made them. Of course, my catalogue will be added to over time as each new edition comes off the press.
